Environmental Policy Statement

At Paragon we are committed to providing cost effective and environmentally safe products.

1. Our aim and policy is to always consider the impact to the person and the environment when formulating our chemical products.
2. The detergent industry has long been subjected to environmental legislation and the vast majority of chemicals now used in cleaning products rapidly degrade into harmless materials. We adhere to the European Detergents Regulation (2004/648/EC) which requires all cleaning products to be fully bio-degradable. Our chemicals policy exceeds regulatory requirements.
3. We minimise wastage and recycle all packaging and materials whenever possible.
4. We like to work in partnership with our clients to ensure that products and chemicals are correctly used to minimise waste and to maximise effectiveness. Where possible we recommend the use of concentrated chemicals which saves on transportation and packaging costs.
5. Our company vehicles are designed to run on renewable bio fuel.
6. Our new building is designed to conserve and minimise energy use.
7. We are committed to using external accreditations. The defining standard for the quality management of businesses is ISO 9001. It applies to processes and prescribes systematic control of all activities to ensure that the needs and expectations of customers are met.
8. Methods and instructions for our hygiene chemical products and hygiene systems are in accordance with the recommended procedures required by the Soil Association Organic Standards January 2007 (41.8 Cleaning and hygiene).

As a company, we at Paragon are committed to supplying products that strike a balance between being safe to our environment and also performing the tasks they are designed to do. Misconception commonly exists between the arguments for and against natural Vs synthetic chemical ingredients (‘Guidance for Responsible Public Procurement of Cleaning Products’ (GPP)) However, we pride ourselves on supplying superior cleaning products with environmental consideration at the forefront of our efforts.
